HEREFORD United Supporters’ Trust have written to Hereford FC to ask for a concession price for their newly released shirts.

After announcing Dawleys as the new shirt sponsor for next season Hereford FC have made their newly designed away and third shirts available for sale to the general public.

The home shirt will also have the new sponsor’s logo

A statement on the Trust’s website said that they have been contacted by a ‘number of members’ about the change to kits.

Joanie Roberts, HUST Vice-Chair, said: “Some Members have been in touch expressing their disappointment that a new sponsor means their cherished home shirts are now out of date.

“Some supporters, who’ve made recent purchases, are the most disappointed.  If they had realised a change in sponsor was coming, they would have delayed their purchase so they could wear the most up to date shirt.”

Hereford FC had previously indicated that changes to home and away kits would to be alternated each year, with the new home kit being released at the start of a season, lasting for two seasons and one away kit being renewed for the following season.

The third strip has been introduced due to the number of colour clashes the club expects in the National League North next season.

Previously the club released a statement in August 2016 stating that a third kit would not go on sale due to the club's replica sales policy.

The newly designed away shirt and third shirt were released for public sale yesterday priced at £30 for children and £40 for adult

HUST Chair, Richard Tomkins, would like a concession price introduced for the kits.

He added: “I’ve written to the club asking whether a concession can be offered to purchasers of last season’s shirt who wish to get up to date for the new season.

“Such assistance would be greatly appreciated by many of our supporters, particularly those with young families.”
