HEREFORD Couriers have been busy competing across the country and clocking some fast times along the way.

Clare Mallender took her category victory as a host of the Couriers took part in the Chedworth Roman Trial 10 miles race at the weekend.

Running in the 40 to 49 age category Mallender clocked a time of one hour and 24 minutes to take first prize.

First Courier home on the day was Ryan Lawrence in 1:19 while Ben Skinner finished marginally behind in the same time.

Becky Evesham finished in 1:27 while Kerry Wathen clocked 1:29.

Mallender was also in action at the Forest of Dean Half Marathon clocking a time of one hour, 39 minutes and 47 seconds on that occasion.

Paul Jones was also in action finishing in 1:25.54.

Also over the half marathon distance Hollie Francis clocked a new personal best on the Merthyr Tydfil Half Marathon course of 2:06.25

Over the shorter 10 kilometre distance Couriers have had a host of runners in action.

Ryan Lawrence was the first Hereford club member home in the Pendock Spring Chicken 10 kilometre race clocking 43 minutes and 49 seconds.

Meanwhile Ben Skinner clocked a time of 45 minutes dead and finished in a personal best time of Sarah Bowring 1:05:31.

A team of Hereford Couriers travelled down to the Cardiff Bay 10 kilometre coming away with five personal best times.

Chris Cleary was first Courier home in 38 minutes and eight seconds. Meanwhile personal best times were ran by Darren Broady 39:53, Izzie Seal 45:15, Jonathan Edwards 45:23, Izzy Axford 48:09 and Paul Gilbert 50:04.

Hannah Watkins was also in action and clocked a time of 45:21.
