STRIKER James Roberts has left Hereford and joined Alvechurch on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old signed for Hereford from Halesowen Town in October and has scored some vital goals since his arrival.

However, in recent weeks he has been left out of the side.

With the return of forwards Lance Smith and loanee James Waite along with the new signing of Rowan Liburd a decision has been made to send Roberts out on loan.

Hereford Head Coach Marc Richards told the official website: “James has a first-class attitude and is someone who wants to be playing football, and this gives him the opportunity to play week-in-week-out.

“We’ll be keeping a close eye on him to see how he gets on. We’d like to wish James the best of luck during his loan spell.”
