ANA Varela fired Hereford FC Women into the final of the Midwest Counties Female Football League's Bill Allsopp Memorial Trophy after they beat Albrighton Ladies 2-1 in the semi-final.

The Bulls probed from the outset and Roxana Dinescu was denied by two quick blocks early in the game.

Dinescu did have the defence beaten as the half wore on as she raced onto a ball over the top before beating the goalkeeper.

Hereford goalkeeper Sarah Reed was called into action in the second half but couldn't prevent the equaliser.

The Bulls responded and when Sophie Elcox-Bond crashed an effort off the post Ana Varela was on hand to tap home the winner.

Hereford host table-topping Cookley Sports Ladies in the final on May 5.
