GREYHOUND Ladies sent a clear message to their Women's NC Midlands 2 South title rivals by running over 14 tries during a 76-0 victory over Towcester Ladies.

Despite a three week break due to no fixtures the Hereford Racecourse side started with a bang and a clear out from Georgina Evans saw Carly Whent cross the line for her first try. Not long after, Sarah Bevan scored her debut try before Whent stretched her legs and scored two more tries after Towcester left large gaps on the wing.

Playing at 10 Georgina Evans got her first try of the match after weaving her way through the defence and past their quick and nimble centre.

Two more tries came from Evans and Whent before Alys Probert took a quick offload from Sarah Bevan to score in the corner to end the half 40-0.

The second half started very much like the first, with a try from Whent and the first conversion of the day, from an under the weather Bonnie Smith.

Michelle Ruddock then got her first try of the match after a fight through the defence. Charlotte Mayo-Evans, moved to centre, and broke free before unfortunately being brought down by their rapid centre but, old faithful Whent picked the ball up and continued over the whitewash for her 31st try of the campaign.

Another try followed from Michelle Ruddock, after Jennie Lightowler turned over two scrums to win us possession.

Second row Chelsie Jones then got her first try for Greyhound after an amazing run from the 10-metre line converted successfully by Jo Woolley.

The game ended with another try for Probert and another successful kick from Woolley.

Greyhound Ladies are expecting a tougher battle this weekend when they travel to title rivals Tewkesbury Ladies.
