PUPILS at John Kyrle High School recently competed against the best in the region at the West Midlands Schools Trampolining Competition.
Amelie Welsby, James Flitton and Ellie Beare who are all year seven students travelled to Cannock to take part in the competition.
Flitton went on to qualify for the next round, which took place on January 20 in Hatfield, where he reached the second round.
Welsby and Beare also competed well against tough competition in their group, including other year seven students as well as older competitors.
The students train at Monmouth Trampoline Club every Wednesday and Saturday with their coach Tony Jones and compete in regular competitions throughout the Autumn and Spring terms.
