SHOBDON darts star Jim Williams was beaten in the British Darts Organisation (BDO) World Championships semi-final this evening.
The 34-year-old joiner, suffered a 6-3 defeat to last year’s tournament winner Glen Durrant.
Durrant also beat Williams 5-4 in last year’s competition at the quarter-final stage.
“I was playing the best player we have in the BDO,” said Williams speaking on the BDO Facebook page.
“My plan from the start was if I could get it to 5-5, that what was my dream and then just go in the last set.
“I’m not ever going to get in control. My plan was just to stick with it and get the doubles. There was a few where I missed a few doubles to win the set and you can’t do that against him.”
