- ROLLING MATCH REPORT
- Hereford almost took an unlikely lead just minutes into the tie when Kyle Finn tried a lob shot which almost caught the goalkeeper out and rattled the bar.
- The hosts were in again moments later when a one-two between Finn and Mike Symons saw the former cross into the box for Eliot Richards to almost prod home. But the ball skipped away from the midfielder.
- Loanee goalkeeper Matt Yates was twice forced into action prior to the opener.
- Firstly he denied Lee Ndlovu's well hit effort which the goalkeeper palmed over.
- From the resulting corner Yates saved a header down low before Jordan Cullinane-Liburd was judged to have conceded a foul inside the box.
- Shane Byrne made no mistake from the penalty spot to put his side ahead.
- Brackley were firmly on top and Connor Franklin should have doubled their lead but put his shot across the face of goal.
- Despite looking to have miss-timed his save Matt Yates then pushed Adam Walker's shot onto the bar.
- At the other end Eliot Richards saw his powerfully hit strike tipped wide by the goalkeeper.
- Brackley were left furious at half-time as just as they took a free-kick referee Richard Hulme blew the half-time whistle despite the ball being headed home.
- However, it took them just a minute into the second half to double their lead when Matt Lowe's cross was slid home by Lee Ndlovu.
- Any hopes of a fight-back were ended on the 65th minute when Shaun Jeffers turned before finding the bottom corner with his shot.
- Three minutes later the visitors could have made it four but for a close-range Yates save.
- The Bulls looked for a way back into the tie and Tom Owen-Evans headed a Keyon Reffell cross at the goalkeeper from close range.
- Substitute Joel Dielna showed some threat for the Bulls but saw his powerful effort saved.
- Moments after seeing an effort deflected onto the bar Hereford were rewarded for their efforts when Josh Gowling headed home from close range.

- PRE-MATCH
- Hereford host Brackley Town in the second round of the FA Trophy.
- The Bulls have beaten FC United of Manchester and Billericay Town on their way to the second round.
- Brackley are the FA Trophy holders and beat the Bulls 2-0 in September when both Eliot Richards and Calvin Dinsley were shown red cards in Pete Beadle's last league game in charge.
- With just four wins between Hereford and a Wembley final it is a good chance for the Edgar Street side to create some more history.
- The winning side will also receive £7,000 for a win today.
- If it's a draw tonight the club's have decided that it will go straight to a replay
