DEFENDER Harvey Smith has had his loan extended at Hereford FC until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old centre-half has been made captain for 10 matches of 16 appearances by head coach Marc Richards.

Smith has been playing for the Bristol City under-23 side alongside playing for Hereford FC.

Head of Football, Tim Harris told of the club's website: “We’re delighted to be able to extend this deal until the end of the season, Harvey has done extremely well for us.

"He not only leads by example on the pitch but off it as well and it’s a great asset for us to have around the place.

“I’d like to thank Bristol City for their help in allowing us to extend this loan until the end of the season.”
