DEFENDER Danny Greenslade has had his red card rescinded after an appeal by Hereford FC.

The defender was meant to be suspended for today’s game against FC United following his red card against Southport.

However, the decision which received some criticism at the time as he also conceded a penalty has been rescinded.

“We looked at it and I spoke to a couple of referees I’m in regular contact with and got them to look at it," said Hereford Head Coach Marc Richards.

“They said it was definitely not a red and we put in an appeal and it was rescinded. That shows you the sort of luck we’ve been having over the last four or five weeks. I’m not putting that down to any excuses but we’ve had quite a few barriers to prevent us from putting in the performances as well.

“It was just a wrong decision for a red card so was rescinded. It was 100 per cent a penalty but wasn’t a red card.”
