A TWELVE-year-old from Hereford is off to compete in the world's largest ballet competition.
Franceszqua Ward, a pupil at St Mary's RC School in Lugwardine, will be among those taking part in the Youth American Grand Prix European Semifinals next week.
She's the youngest member of the UK team that will be competing in the Junior division and also holds the record for being the youngest Briton to compete in the YAGP European Semifinals Paris. She set that record when she was just 10 and finished in the top 12.
Franceszqua is training at Royal Ballet School Mid Associate Programme.
She has already performed alongside some of the world's best dancers during the Royal Gala Performance last year and will be drawing upon that experience when she competes later this month.
