Robert Knight celebrates 50 years playing with the Legionaires with current and past players
SOME sportsmen are celebrated for playing a decade for the same team.
But skittles player Robert (Bob) Knight has gone well beyond that point and is celebrating his 50th season playing for the Legionaires team in Hereford, originally from the Royal British Legion Club.
Present and past players gathered at the The Herdsman pub in Widemarsh Street recently to celebrate the occasion while his side played against a team from the Seven Stars.
Knight was presented with a trophy from his Legionaires team-mates to mark the milestone.
