LEDBURY Ladies touch rugby team travelled to Drybrook in the Midlands SW league recently.
They competed against Bredon, Pershore, Berry Hill, Drybrook and Brecon coming an impressive second in the league and narrowly missing out to Pershore by one try in the penultimate game.
As a result Ledbury now lie sixth in the combined North and South Midlands Touch League of 16 clubs.
The result meant Ledbury finished second to Pershore in the SW league.
Having held an encouraging RFU backed Inner Warrior Camp back on September 12, which saw a number of new players signing up Ledbury now have one last Tournament - the Final Super Sunday at Kidderminster on the October 7.
“The defence was vastly improved over the tournament and testament to the ‘they shall not pass’ attitude Ledbury showed,” said lead coach Iain Hunter.
