SET PIECE specialist Stuart Mills assisted three goals as Holme Lacy to climb up the Herefordshire Premier Division following a 4-2 victory at Ewyas Harold.

In-form Rowlett opened the scoring after 10 minutes when he headed home a Stuart Mills free-kick. Harold replied on the 20th minute when Rob Cooper-Tomkins found a gap in the visitor’s defence to fire home.

Holme Lacy restored their goal advantage with half an hour played when from another Mills’ set-piece Will Morall headed into the top corner.

Mills wasn’t finished for the half and a third free-kick this time found the head of Rowlett for his second.

The victory was secured after 75 minutes when Devon Saunders’ cross was turned into the Harold net by a defender before Owen Prout netted a late consolation goal.

A brace from Matthew Williams helped reigning Herefordshire Premier Division title holders Wellington lands a psychological blow on new side Malvern Town Reserves with a 5-0 victory.

Before Saturday’s fixtures Malvern had looked the side to beat with three wins and a draw from their opening four games.
