WILL Lloyd clinched the Presidents Cup as Herefordshire Golf Club held the finals of their knockout competitions last weekend.

Played over 36 holes between Lloyd and Morgan Radziejowski it was the latter who was 3up at the half-way stage. However, in the afternoon round Lloyd made a big come-back to win the match 2&1.

The Coronation Cup was won by Wyn Owen who beat Andrew Morgan over 36 holes in a very tight match with Owen only 1up.

An even closer contest was in the Queen Elizabeth Cup which couldn't be decided after 36holes and went to sudden death for one extra hole where Ady Marshall triumphed over Andrew Powell, who had been 2up in the morning round.

In contrast the Yorath Bowl was contested between the pair of Alex Allen & Carl Owen against Rob Waring & Chris Cole. The game slid only one way in favour of Allen & Owen with a 7&6 win.

The Creighton Cup played as a mixed foursomes between Tommy & Jenny Hughes and Marie & Doug Parry who got over the winning line 3&1.

Meanwhile the Mac Park Junior Cup was won by Oliver Maund 2&1 playing Sam Bennett.

The Daily Mail Ladies foursomes was won by Ellen Goodchild & Sarah Griffiths 3&2 playing Jan Preece & Kay Eames and the winners will represent the club next year.
