ALL eyes will be on The Park this weekend as Brockhampton face another crunch relegation tie- this time against third bottom Leamington.

Nicholas Powell’s side haven’t given their safety hopes any help in recent weeks after losing to fellow Birmingham and District Division One strugglers Himley by just eight runs last weekend and Bromsgrove a week earlier.

With a cluster of teams now 50 points above the Herefordshire side Leamington remain the only side within touching distance to claw Brockhampton out of the bottom two.

Last weekend Himley were another side Powell’s side aimed to beat to pull them out of the relegation zone.

After electing to field the introduction of bowler Freddie Cross from the seconds looked an inspired one as he took 4-35 and with Jamie McIlroy (3-34) they had Himley all out for 121.

However, as in recent weeks, Brockhampton’s batting let them down and they were also without Worcestershire opener Daryl Mitchell.

After losing two early wickets with five runs scored wicket keeper Ian Bullock stood his ground and started to build a substantial total.

As wickets kept falling around his Bullock passed his half-century but was eventually caught on 68 and his team on 110-9.

Cross held his wicket but his side were all out for 113 off 39.3 overs just eight runs short of their target.
