FIELDING performances proved crucial as The Elms, Colwall, saw their under-12 rounder team completed another unbeaten season in style by being crowned County Champions.
On a scorching hot afternoon, the standard of play from all competing teams was high all bidding to be crowned the best in Herefordshire.
The Elms won their group by beating Wigmore and John Masefield High School thanks to rounders scored by Emily Windsor-Clive and Imogen Voelcker, whilst the fielding was exceptional in all areas of the pitch.
The Elms met Whitecross school in the semi-final and Hereford Cathedral School in the final. The fielding of The Elms proved to be very clinical and well drilled as they came out on top in the tightly fought game.
