THE Combat Academy karate came away with plenty of medals at their latest competition.
Despite only six fighters making the trip to the English Karate Association (ECKA) Milton Keynes Open, four gold, three silver and three bronze medals were claimed.
Kay Parker came top on semi contact (points), light continuous and free form, while Nicky Taylor picked up a gold medal after beating both her opponents in semi contact in her first ever competition.
Chelle Banes also came away with silver medals in semi contact and light continuous, as well as a bronze in free form, while junior members William Richards and Jack Millorit won a couple of matches in the same semi contact division, coming away with silver and bronze respectively.
Richards also claimed a bronze medal in semi contact.
The Combat Academy train at Foley Trading Estate in Hereford, with classes provided for anyone aged four and above.
