MARK Rone took 7-10 to help Hereford City to an easy 118-run win against Moccas at the Racecourse in Division 2 of the Flint and Cook Marches League.

J Goring (21) was the only Moccas batsman to reach double figures, seven of his colleagues failed to bother the scorers and they were all out for 54. Earlier Jason Tobin (64) and Phil Knight (42) led the way as Hereford scored 172-6.

Marden's Dave Bird (4-27) and Tony Homden (3-3) bowled visiting Shobdon out for 118, a score the home side passed for the loss of just two wickets. Ian Lawrence (41) was the major source of runs for Shobdon, whilst Sam Pratley (47) and Mike Williams (45) steered the home side to victory after J Jones had taken two early wickets.

Bartestree and Lugwardine 2nd's fared little better as visiting Woolhope went on to win by four wickets after bowling the home side out for 119. Mark Stubbs 52 scored nearly half the runs for the home side while S Davies took four wickets for Woolhope.

Five batsmen reached double figures for Woolhope as A Jones (4-44) chipped away for Bartestree.

Geoff Holmes (66), Tim Jones (40) and Mike Parker (47) scored the bulk of the runs as Glangrwyney scored 235-6 at Goodrich, and went on to win by 95 runs. The Bowker brothers, Ben and Joe, took six wickets between them to bowl the home team's second team out for 140. Dennis Malley (4-40) and Roger Heath (43) were the pick of the home side.

In Division 3 John Worle took 4-12 as Strollers were bowled out by Garnons 2nd for just 46 at their Ledbury Rugby Club headquarters. Mark Eckley (22 not out) steered Garnons home for the loss of four wickets after a few early jitters.

Rob Pendleton (42) and Lee Watkins (35) led the way as leaders Herefordians gained a comfortable seven wicket home win over Luctonians 3rd, after restricting the visitors to 120-7.

Tom Ammonds (5-14) bowled visiting Presteigne to a 42-run victory at Hay after his side were bowled out for a modest 126 in the first innings.

Mark Cathcart (151) produced the batting performance of the day for Lads Club in Division 4. He helped his side to a first innings score of 285 at Woolhope 2nd, the Hereford based side going on to win by 169 runs after bowling Woolhope out for 116.

The best bowling performance came in Division 6 where Abergavenny Beavers' Owain Bradley took 8-9 to bowl Bartestree and Lugwardine St Mary's out for just 26. The Beavers lost three wickets getting the runs.
