TWO county schools have taken part in the regional final of a Kwik Cricket competition.
Year five and six pupils from St Paul's School in Tupsley and Kingsland Primary School faced teams from around the region during the final held at Colwall Cricket Club.
St Paul's finished third overall with Shropshire lifting the trophy.
They were invited to the event after competing in a county tournament held at Bartestree and Lugwardine Cricket Club featuring six other local schools - Ashfield Park, Gorsley Goffs, Ewyas Harold, Ashperton, Kington and Wellington.
The group stages saw St Paul's and Kingsland coming through as winners. The final was a tight affair with Kingsland edging out their city opponents by seven runs.
