WESTFIELDS fell to a disappointing 3-0 home defeat to relegation-threatened Loughborough University last night which has hit their hopes of finishing in the top three of the Midland Football League Premier Division.
Two quick-fire goals from Ben Ward-Cochrahne in the 50th and 57th minutes put the Studnets 2-0 up and Luke Trotman sealed the win a minute from time.
The defeat leaves Westfields in fifth place, three points behind Sporting Khalsa.
However, Khalsa have a game in hand.
Westfields' next game is an away encounter at third-placed Lye Town this Saturday.
