LUCTONIANS lock Piers Morell has been given the all clear after sustaining a worrying injury on Saturday.
Morell needed lengthy treatment after being sidelined during Luctonians' match against Hinckley in National League 2 North.
"The possibility that a player may have suffered a spinal injury is never taken lightly and, if suspected, as a precaution they are immobilised and removed to hospital by ambulance," reads a Luctonians statement."
"We are pleased to say that, following a thorough examination at Hereford County Hospital, Piers was given the all clear."
Speaking to the Hereford Times following the game, Luctonians coach Ryan Watkins said he didn't see the incident.
"He had a lot of movement and feeling in his body, I think it was just a case that we did the best we did for him," said Watkins.
