HEREFORDSHIRE jockeys Tom Scudamore amd Richard Johnson said they were delighted to ride at Hereford today.
Between 3,000 and 4,000 people are estimated to be watching the racing - the first time jump racing has appeared in the city for four years.
Both Johnson and Scudamore tode in the first race, which was won by Andrew Tinkler aboard Rather Be.
Scudamore, riding Daklondike, finished third, ahead of fourth-placed Johnson (Beau De Brizais).
