THE FA Cup is coming to Hereford.
One of the most famous trophies in the world of sport will be on display at allpay park when Westfields entertain Leiston on October 15 in the fourth qualifying round of the prestigious cup competition.
Westfields have been given the honour of hosting the trophy after being named the FA's team of the round.
Fields thrashed higher-graded Walton Casuals 4-0 in the third qualifying round to set up this month's tie.
Andrew Morris, Westfields' chief executive, said the recognition from the FA marked another great moment as the club celebrates its 50th year.
"To watch the players run out past the FA Cup will be another fantastic moment in what is proving to be a very special season," he said.
"Sean Edwards and the players have got off to a great start and this will only provide added inspiration to try and make the First Round proper."
Some managers believe it is bad luck for their players to touch the cup but Mr Morris said he would not be following any superstition.
"We're not going to win it so I'll definitely touch the trophy as I doubt I'll ever get the chance again," he joked.
"I'll let Sean decide how close the players can get to it!"
