AP McCoy - 19 Time Champion Jockey, for his unbelievable talent and steely determination.

Who is your sporting mentor?

Doug Mills – Fellow shooter; gave me the help and support I needed to get started in the sport of rifle shooting .

What is your best sporting achievement?

Undoubtedly Bisley National Championships 2015, winning 13 silver trophies and medals, a lifetime’s achievement for many, which I accomplished in one week.

Do you have any sporting ambitions?

Yes. To be prone rifle shooting world champion, and represent my country at the Commonwealth Games.

What was the last trophy you won?

13 to choose from last week, however the last competition I finished with was Championship aggregate so the “Frank Carter Challenge Cup”.

What is the best piece of advice to give to a youngster?

Focus. If you’re passionate about something work hard and dreams can become reality.

Do you have any sporting superstitions?

Yes, I think a good example of that has to be at Bisley this year, I started wearing my silver wellies on day one and won, so I wore them again day two and won so 10 days later I wore them every day and won every day! I began to be known as ‘silver boots’.

What possession would you save if your house was burning down?

My Rifle.

Clare Balding, A P McCoy, Michelle Smith (prone shooter) Guy Martin, Rhod Gilbert .

What hobbies do you have outside your chosen sport?

Lots. I have a passion for equestrian sports including eventing and horse racing, and I am a big fan of motor sport racing and rallying.
