HOLME Lacy FC will ensure that a father follows in his son's footsteps.
Chris Ferriday was this week appointed first team manager and will take on the side managed by his son, Matt, last season.
The younger Ferriday managed the villagers for two years but is standing down ahead of a work move abroad.
Ben Hince, Holme Lacy chairman, said: "This is great news for the club and with Chris’s experience we can continue to build on the great work Matt has done over the past two years."
Meanwhile, Roger Price will take up the position of reserve team manager as the club runs two senior sides next year.
