Bewdley Town 2 Bromyard Town 2 BROMYARD recovered from a disastrous start to claim a valuable point in their fight to get clear of the West Midlands League Premier Division relegation zone.

They were two goals down inside the first 15 minutes, but gradually eased themselves back into the game to have the better of the second half against highly placed opposition.

Bromyard found themselves a goal down in five minutes, the home side's first corner sailing straight into the net. More weak play left them 2-0 down 10 minutes later and with a mountain to climb. Bromyard gradually settled down but the home side could have gone further ahead before the interval on the balance of play.

Bromyard came out a different side in the second half and seized control of the game. Just after the hour mark, Andy Crowther picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box, controlled it on his chest, and then fired home to reduce the deficit.

Two minutes later Chris Allen headed the equaliser when Bewdley failed to clear their lines.

With five minutes left Bromyard almost snatched a winner, Aaron Drake's fierce drive just clearing the crossbar.
