Bournemouth 6 Hereford United 0 HEREFORD found themselves overpowered on the South Coast in their first Puma Youth Alliance South West Conference fixture for more than a month.
Without Gareth Thomas through injury and Craig Jones through suspension, Hereford had their work cut out against a strong breeze in the first period when the home side went on the rampage.
Bournemouth included Sam Vokes who has played a number of League 1 games this season, scoring three times, and the powerful striker was often to the fore as Bournemouth built up a 5-0 half-time lead.
Hereford created few chances, the best coming when Kieran Davis headed an Adam Bendall free-kick into the side-netting.
After some harsh words from coach Gary Stevens at half-time, the young Bulls improved after the interval when Bobby Terrett, Davis and Bendall all had good opportunities to reduce arrears.
The goals failed to come, however, and Bournemouth set the seal on their victory 10 minutes from time with a sixth goal.
