NEW Hereford United football consultant Mark Ellis claims he has helped Bournemouth, Sheffield Wednesday and QPR to promotion in the last four seasons.
“In the past four years, I have got promotions with Bournemouth, who I have come to and helped with recruitment; Sheffield Wednesday and QPR last season," he said.
“Four years ago, I was working with a guy who looks after all managers – like Paul Lambert who was at Norwich, Roberto Di Matteo at Chelsea and Sven-Goran Eriksson, who was at Leicester.
“I have been brought in because they all know that I know the best players.”
Ellis has also praised Herefordian Neil Phelps, who is the club’s analyst.
“Neil is a top, top guy, a local man. He was the analyst last year.
“He’s going to be part of it and we are looking to build up his relationship.
“We are not going to be here forever.
“We want someone from Hereford to manage the side one day.”
Ellis added: “I am from the East End and I know how much a club means to a community.
“I can understand all the frustration and anger.
“We are here for the right reasons.
“Forget about all that rubbish that people keep talking about.
“Rome was not built in a day – there are loads and loads of issues.
“My only saving grace is when I come down here to do the coaching.
“We are not here to destroy it – we are here to build it.
“I don’t look back, I only look forwards.
“If you look back you trip over – you have to keep looking forward.”
