HEREFORD’S Morgan Goodall has jetted off to the USA to play rugby union in Chicago.
Goodall left the UK last week to join South Side Irish Rugby Football Club.
The South Side Irish were founded in 1975 and play in Division Two of the Midwest Union.
Goodall is spending three months in Chicago and could be making his debut at Kalamazoo Dogs this Saturday.
Morgan’s dad, Spencer Goodall, said: “Morgan has been busy clearing snow off the pitches and he has sent me a few photographs.
“South Side Irish are similar level to Hereford and it’s a bit of fun. Morgan was invited by a friend to Chicago to play rugby.
“He has been travelling, playing rugby in Australia and New Zealand, and fancied a go out in Chicago - and that was it. He likes to enjoy his rugby and enjoys his experiences.”
South Side Irish are members of the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union and the Midwest Union.
Spencer added: “We are keeping an eye on him. We’re not sure whether we will be going out to watch his play – but we will definitely consider it.”
