WESTSIDE saw off another Birmingham side when they beat Parkside 38-31 at home in the West Midlands Netball League Division 2.

A solid, team performance saw Hereford-based Westside hold off the Birmingham side who only ever managed to get within five goals of the home team throughout the game.

Westside's defence produced some outstanding play with player of the match going to Sophie Wright at GD. She made numerous interceptions and linked in well with Kelly Stevens at GK to break down the very quick attack of Parkside.

Team changes at half-time saw Westside lose their way slightly but they managed to settle again to pull away and win the match convincingly by seven goals.

Westside are clearly making their mark in this league with four wins out of seven games, placing them fifth in the table. Westside face Recycles from Shropshire on Saturday.
