Wellington 0 Bridgnorth 0 WELLINGTON were forced to work hard in difficult, blustery conditions before picking up a useful West Midlands League Premier Division point.
Forwards, in particular, struggled as strong defensive play from both sides resulted in few clear-cut openings.
Wellington's best first-half chance fell to Keith Jones but his shot lacked power and was easily gathered while James Morgan in the home goal made a couple of good saves from set-pieces.
After the break, it was the home side who looked the more likely winners.
Skipper Pete Wallace thought that he had made the breakthrough only for his goal' to be disallowed because of Keith Jones' push on a defender.
Owen Jones delayed shooting when well placed but it was Keith Jones who had the best chance of the game, shooting wide of the target when through, one on one with the Bridgnorth keeper .
Wellington 0 Stourport Swifts 5 WELLINGTON never got into this Midland Floodlit Youth League Southern Division clash against their powerful visitors.
Some fine play by goalkeeper Tom Smith kept Stourport at bay for much of the first period but the visitors still scored twice before and three times after the interval.
