HEALTH authorities in Worcestershire have decided to temporarily close minor injury services.
Due to a low number of patients attending, the units will be closed and staff will be redeployed to help fight coronavirus elsewhere.
The services to be closed are Evesham and Tenbury, while the unit in Ledbury will also be closed.
The Minor Injury Units in Malvern and Bromsgrove remain open and the Minor Injury Unit in Kidderminster is working under reduced opening times, these are 8am-8pm.
Patients who require urgent medical help can use the MIUs remaining open or contact NHS 111 online (https://111.nhs.uk/), or attend the MIUs in Malvern or Bromsgrove. Signage at the MIUs listed above will advise patients of the alternative options.
The Minor Injury Units in Ross-on-Wye and Leominster, which were temporarily closed in November 2019, will also now remain closed.
