“Leanne, shift manager at the pub, said: “We’re not taking anymore bookings but we would never turn anyone away.

“As a pub, we are known for our love of rugby and this will be a very busy day for us, supporting our community.”

On the Facebook page for the Worcester News, South African supporter Gail Hanks said: “My husband is English and I’m South African and my kids are English so we’ll be watching from the comfort of our own home in Worcester.

"We have a big cinema room and we can shout it out in private, without offending anyone.

"We want to watch it on neutral territory but we might head for a quick drink down at O’Neill’s as I hear other South African supporters are meeting there and rugby fans on both sides are generally well behaved."

Kick off for England against South Africa will take place at Tokyo Stadium in Chōfu, Tokyo at on Saturday, November 2 at 9am GMT.

The match will be televised on ITV.
