POLICE want to speak to anyone who was in the area of Kidderminster where a man was attacked with a bladed object on Saturday.

Two teenagers and a 23-year-old man were arrested after a man suffered 'potentially serious injuries' in the assault.

Emergency services were called to Silver Street in Kidderminster at around 3.20pm to reports of an assault involving a bladed object.

A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "We were called at 3.21pm on Saturday (July 27) to an assault inside a property on Silver Street, Kidderminster.

"It's reported three males entered a flat and assaulted a man in his 30s with a bladed object."

The victim suffered injuries to his wrist, which the ambulance service said were 'potentially serious', and was taken to hospital.

A West Midland Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called by West Mercia Police at 3.23pm on Saturday afternoon to reports of an assault in Silver Street.

"One ambulance and a paramedic officer attended.

"On arrival, one patient - a man - was treated for potentially serious injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment."

A 16-year-old male, a 17-year-old male and a 23-year-old man, all from Birmingham, were arrested in the Mill Street area on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

They have since been released on bail.

Police say the attack is currently being treated as an isolated incident and are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A police spokesman said: "Anyone who was in either the Silver Street or Mill Street area between 3pm and 5pm, or has any information, is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 453S of July 27.
