The festival is held to mark the beginning of spring in the town.
Stages over two days the Festival began with Morris Dancing in the town and reached a climax with the traditional battle in the town Square between the Green Man and the Frost Queen.
It starts on Sunday, May 5 and comes to a conclusion on Monday, May 6.
