A RECORD-breaking pumpkin has been grown in Israel- from seeds bought in a Hereford garden centre.
Ian Whyatt, who is from Hereford, lives in Israel in Northern Galilee and a few years ago his mum gave him a pack of pumpkin seeds from Wyevale Nursery.
He went on to grown a 200kg pumpkin in 2013, which was featured on Israeli TV.
But he has now gone much further and grown a pumpkin which weighs in at 358kg.
Mr Whyatt told the Hereford Times: "This pumpkin's for Hereford!"
He said: "I am from Hereford and my mum from Ayelstone Hill gave me a pack of pumpkin seeds from Wyevale Nursery a few years ago and from them at that time I grew a massive pumpkin.
"Today, I live in Israel and have just grown a 358kg pumpkin- it is Israel's biggest ever."
