ALDI opened its doors in Brookend Street in Ross this morning.
The discount supermarket chain was opened at 8am with the help of local scouts and Ross Junior FC.
As part of the supermarket’s community engagement strategy it has sponsored the football team’s kit and also presented a cheque to the Ross-on-Wye Scout Group.
There is a family fun day at the store tomorrow from 11am to 4pm, which will include Halloween goodie bags, a balloon modeller and face painting.
The opening has created 40 jobs in the area and they are also recruiting for a further five members of staff.
