POLICE now say a driver may not have hit and run from the scene of a fatal crash on the A49 at Moreton-on-Lugg.
The vehicle - believed to be a "dark" Vauxhall Vectra with a woman at the wheel - was on the A49 heading for Hereford when the crash happened at around at 11.20am yesterday.
Investigators say the car originally thought to be a green or grey hatchback is now believed to be dark in colour and possibly a Vauxhall Vectra.
This car may have been behind a lorry or bus prior to the crash.
Sergeant David Bishop from West Mercia Police said: “At the moment we are trying to establish the circumstances of the incident.
"Originally, we thought that the car may have been involved in a collision with the motorcyclist and then failed to stop.
"However, we now believe that this may not have been the case.
"The driver of the car and of the larger vehicle – a lorry or a bus – may have crucial information.”
Information to police on 101, quoting incident 254S of Monday, 29 September.
