Former Herefordshire library assistant Paul Costello is the author of Utterly Undiscovered, a humorous memoir of his time running a B&B in deepest rural Shropshire. Paul will be talking about his book at Ross-on-Wye Library on Tuesday, September 10 from 7pm-8.30pm.
Tickets are £3 and include refreshments, and there is no need to book in advance. All the proceeds will go to the Ross Library Development group to improve the library for the whole community. Whilst working part-time in Colwall and Ledbury libraries Paul honed his skills by studying for an MA in writing at Birmingham City University. “Under sound tutelage from established authors like Richard Beard and Ian Marchant, my B&B memoir Utterly Undiscovered came to life and was taken up by regional publisher Fineleaf Editions. I love chatting to groups and societies about how stories like this can entertain as well as inform and I am keen member of a readers’ group myself.”
“Paul’s book is proving to be very popular both with library staff and readers’ groups in Herefordshire. There have been lots of reservations for Paul’s book, we really miss having him in the library but we are very proud of his achievements.” said Anne-Marie Dossett Reader Development Librarian.
