I WAS appalled to hear of the tree in Goal Street car park being taken down.
Can we demand a breakdown of how and why they thought it to be a hazard?
I am sure I am not the only one who thinks that they have decided they can get at least two more cars parked on that space.
Now we have no lovely, reducing shade on a hot day, or temporary shelter from a rain storm or waiting for the loo, apart from the beauty of the tree itself in a concrete and tarmac jungle.
How come these people have a free hand at planning our city?
