WE live in Much Cowarne and the nearest road which was gritted wass one mile away. The lane is narrow with ditches. The doctor’s surgery and pharmacy are several miles away.
I asked the pharmacy to put my disabled husband’s pills in the post to me.I was asked if I could ask a relative with a four wheel drive to collect them. We don’t have any.
“We must know someone who does,”
we were told. We don’t. “How will you get your food?” we were asked. From our freezer, was the answer.
“You should think in advance.” I was – eight days in advance.
“In the post, the pills might fall into the wrong hands.” So what about recorded delivery? “You must pay for the postage.” I did.
My question is this. Is this a national attitude or law? Surely it is the most sensible thing to do? The pharmacist eventually did put the pills into the post to us. What about the next time this happens?
