ONCE again, Hereford Ex-Services Association is organising a short service at the St Martin’s Street memorial on Armistice Day, November 11.

All are welcome to attend and are asked to be in position at 10.55am. A member of the St Martin’s Church team ministry will lead the prayers.

Last Post will be sounded then wreaths and crosses can be placed at the memorial.

This important memorial, which is looked after by Amey, was constructed after the First World War as a memorial to more than 50 men who were killed and came from this area of the city.

The names of these men can be viewed in St Martin’s Church. Over the years more and more people including children from local schools attend this service and all are very welcome.

All ex-servicemen and women are also welcome to attend and join our association. We meet at Hereford Welsh Social Club on the second Thursday of every month at 8pm.
