A SHORT time ago we were approached by the Hospice Angels – Mike Pullin and his motocycliststs – to help with their current fundraising event for the hospice.

On Saturday they are travelling on their motorbikes to all the churches in the Diocese of Hereford dedicated to St Michael, hence their visit to Kingsland.

To help them raise the money we are putting on a simple lunch before their arrival at approximately 2pm.

This will be in the church starting at 1pm when we will be serving sausages, baked beans and buns at a cost of £5 for adults and £3 for children aged 11 years and under.

Tickets, to be bought in advance, are on sale at our village Post Office.

Drinks and ice cream will also be available as well as games on our green to occupy the children as we await the arrival of the bikers.

Just before they arrive the church bells will ring out to give them a welcome, hence our name for the event of Bikes, Bells, Bangers and Beans.

As you are well aware, I am sure, Mike Pullin and his crew have raised many thousands of pounds for the hospice in the past and I believe last year this amounted to £25,000, so we want to help them all we can in their mammoth task.
