ON June 17, you published a photo of Hereford May Fair on your Readers' Times page. This was in response to a letter you printed on May 27, from my mother Mrs V Davies.

I just wanted you to know what pleasure my mother gets from seeing her letters in print.

She is now 98 years old and housebound but she reads her Hereford Times from cover to cover every week and is very interested in all the current local issues and mentions of Hereford in days gone by.

She has lived in Birminghamfor 70 years but was born in Withington and grew up on Shucknall Hill.

Over the years we have visited family in Hereford regularly and although this is no longer possible for mum your lovely paper keeps her in touch.

I will be getting in touch with the kind gentleman who offered to send mum a copy of the photo of the May Fair as I know she would love to have it. Once again, thank you all at the Hereford Times for making an elderly lady very happy.
