HE most effective way to save our planet is to eat less meat. The UN Food and Agriculture Organisation state the impact of animal farming is greater than that of the transportation sector worldwide - air, sea and land combined.
A vegan diet uses one-fifth of the land needed for an omnivore's diet, requires substantially less energy and produces nearly 1.5 tonnes less CO2 per person.
Eating less meat could dramatically reduce our contribution to global warming, pollution, water scarcity, land degradation, deforestation and loss of biodiversity - on top of all that you can still enjoy fabulous food, reap health benefits and know that you're not contributing to the commercial production of animal products.
