WHEN Sir Gerry Robinson, who works to turn around failing businesses, went into troubled hospitals he saw the problems of the workplace.
I worry that our present political system is not tackling root causes and we have evidence of shuffling resources and systems with unrealistic expectations, ineffectual outcomes and vast inequalities.
I would like to see much more local control and a whole community approach to health – mental and physical. And surely food, drink, and air are key factors? And job satisfaction?
I hope we can have open debate about the service we want and how to achieve it. And accountability for every step. Politicians need to gain our respect by being able to relate to the workplace and daily problems.
