ON December 27 I played at the Jailhouse, Hereford, with my band Stompin On Spiders.
We really enjoyed playing to a respectful and appreciative crowd. Importantly all profits from the event went to local charity Sophie's Star. I'd like to say thank you to those who supported this night, to Hereford Live for putting it on and to the Jailhouse staff.
Unfortunately, I left my new black leather gloves (given to me by my mum as a Christmas present) in the ladies' toilets before I started playing. After I had finished playing, I realised and went back but they had gone.
I looked around and found them in the smoking yard. They were on the floor and had been slashed. What a shame this night was tarnished by ugly behaviour.
I had gone to play for nothing to do something nice for others, and my night ended on a real downer.
I hope the person responsible is ashamed and that they never need support from Sophie's Star.
