REGARDING the recent report that only 662 people attended the recent Hereford United home game versus Dartford, is it really such a shock?

The cost for an adult to attend a home game is £18, so for a family of four you are talking about £60.

This for a game in the fifth tier of English football, and a team only in mid-table.

Times are hard, and people cant afford this.

Surely to get more people through the gates it would be more sustainable to lower prices, get a better atmosphere and sell more burgers, cups of tea and pints of beer?

G B DIPPER, Wegnall Way, Leominster.

The club has subsequently cut Mr Dipper’s cited price by £1 for the stands and £4 for the terraces – but is that enough?
