A TEENAGER has appeared before a judge accused of the attempted murder of a baby boy.
The 17-year-old from Ledbury, who cannot be identified under a court order, did not enter pleas to five charges.
She is accused of two counts of attempted murder, two of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and one of child cruelty.
Defence counsel Jane Crowley QC told Worcester Crown Court that the teenager would be denying all the charges.
Judge Alistair McCreath adjourned the case until November 28 and granted the defendant bail.
She was released from custody on condition she observed a nightly curfew.
She will also be electronically tagged.
The judge imposed a condition that she lives where directed by Hereford Youth Offending Service.
The defendant only spoke to confirm her name during the 45-minute hearing.
A provisional trial date has been set for the end of February next year.
